ROMA 2025
INTERNATIONAL MEETING FOR PEACE
26-27-28 OCTOBER 2025
The ROMA 2025 International Meeting for Peace will take place from October 26–28, 2025, in Rome, Italy. Organized by the Community of Sant’Egidio, this global gathering—titled “Daring Peace” (Osare la Pace)—brings together religious leaders, cultural figures, and representatives of civil society to promote dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among the world’s faiths and peoples. Through discussions, prayer, and public ceremonies, including a closing Ceremony for Peace at the Colosseum, the meeting calls for courage and unity in confronting conflict and division. Continuing the spirit of the historic interfaith gatherings inspired by Saint John Paul II in Assisi, the event highlights that peace is both a moral commitment and a shared responsibility for all humanity.

OUR INVOLVEMENT
At the ROMA 2025 International Meeting for Peace, our mission was to raise global awareness among world leaders about the ongoing injustices faced by immigrant communities in the United States. We spoke out against the growing number of individuals being arrested and deported without due process, and the racial profiling that continues to target people based solely on the color of their skin or perceived immigration status. Our participation sought to build moral and international consensus for the protection of human rights, dignity, and justice—reminding the world that peace begins when every person, regardless of origin or status, is treated with fairness and respect.

During the ROMA 2025 International Meeting for Peace, Luis shared our organization’s ongoing work and vision for immigration justice. In his interviews, he highlighted our national project to deliver two million letters to the U.S. Congress, urging lawmakers to update the registry law and pass meaningful immigration reform. This initiative gives voice to millions of families who contribute to this nation but remain without a path to stability.
Our journey will begin in San Diego on November 10th, culminating in Washington, D.C. on November 17th, where we will personally deliver the letters—carrying with us the hopes, stories, and courage of our immigrant community.
During the ROMA 2025 International Meeting for Peace, Professor Manuel from the University of Berkeley shared a heartfelt message to all our migrant communities. He reminded everyone that they are not alone, and that in one way or another, we are all immigrants—each with a journey, a story, and a hope for a better future. His words served as a powerful reminder of unity, compassion, and the shared human experience that connects us across borders.
